Last year for Christmas when John-ni was at Johnny's sister's house, Nina lost the ring Johnny gave her in the toy room.
1 year later, John-ni visits again for Thanksgiving. Johnny proposes to Nina as she closes her eyes in bed.
In the not very well lit room, Nina examines the engagement ring they had chosen at the store together and comments how not pretty it looked. In her drowsiness, Nina remembers to say the most important thing and mumbles, "I guess so..."
Then Johnny presents Nina with the first ring he gave Nina -- Johnny's sister had found the ring while cleaning their monstrous toy room/basement. Nina examines her relief that the ring was found, and with the relief falls into a deep sleep.
Poor Johnny was left in the room with his newly engaged fiancee ... asleep ... zzzZZZ
